November 2024
November is the time of remembrance of those Christian believers who lived exemplifying the very Spirit of Christ Jesus in their earthly lives.
On November 3 we will remember the faithful who lived their life for God and returned home to join Him for all eternity, through faith in Jesus Christ. We are encouraged to grieve with hope—hope in Jesus Christ, being certain of eternal life and a reunion with our Father in heaven. All Saints’ Day is a day when we miss our loved ones who have gone before us but are joyful that they are with God, and we will join them in the future.
We give thanks to the almighty God; the fact that we are still gathering at St. Andrews UMC to worship and conduct the ministry of Jesus Christ despite the challenges and difficulties we face.
Thanksgiving time this November, we have many things to be thankful for. These things include earthly, health and material blessings but more than that, they include our faith, love, trust, comfort, and strength in Jesus Christ. Let us truly be thankful for these things other than this earth and look and pray for the peace that passes all understanding.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving, pass the turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy around a table filled with loved ones and rejoice together in the good things of life with hearts full of gratitude and praise to God who is still good, loving, merciful, powerful, compassionate, and holy.
